Sr. Vendor Development Engineer — JO-2026-0243

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify, evaluate, and onboard mechanical vendors (sheet metal, castings, forgings, machined parts, plastics)
2. Conduct capability assessments, process audits, and onboard New Supplier
3. Review engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specs; provide DFM inputs during New Product Launch
4. Monitor and drive reduction in incoming rejection rates via CAPA
5. Publish supplier scorecards (QDCR) and lead QBRs with strategic vendors
6. Support Procurement team, if any issues observed at production.
7. Bridge the technical Gap between QC and Procurement Team
8. Identify VA/VE opportunities to achieve 3–5% cost savings on managed spend
9. Manage ECN implementation at vendor end within agreed timelines

Requirements

1. B.E./Diploma – Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
2. 2-4 years in vendor/supplier development within manufacturing (automotive, industrial, capital goods, pharma machinery)
3. Strong knowledge of sheet metal, CNC machining, casting, forging, injection moulding processes
4. Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) is a plus
