Sr. Purchase Engineer — JO-2026-0263
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, including pricing and payment terms
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards are met
- Preparation of MRP ( Material Requirement Planning) Monthly
- Release PO Via ERP and Follow-up to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and cost savings
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks by proactively monitoring market trends and supplier capabilities
- Participate in supplier audits and supplier development initiatives
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new product developments that may impact procurement activities
Qualifications
- Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication & Machining Components Procurement
- Knowledge of Cost analysis from Engineering Drawings is an added advantage
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
